The My Child Wants to Play AAU Sports! program was developed to assist parents with finding a place for their child to play AAU Sports.

Purpose of the Program

This program gives parents the opportunity to have a coach contact them regarding their child's participation with their team, squad, school, club, dojo and others.

The program is designed to keep the child's personal information confidential while using the parent as the contact person for communication purposes. This procedure ensures the integrity of the child's information. By following Steps 1-3 below, you will have the opportunity to have your child's sport, position and interests available to over 40,000 coaches.

STEP 2 - Parent enters their contact information and child's information into AAU's My Child Wants To Play AAU Sports! program. For the very low youth AAU membership of $12.00 an athlete - your child has the opportunity to participate in 37 sports at just $0.32 per sport a year!

THE AAU IS AN EVENT-DRIVEN ORGANIZATION AND DOES NOT:

• ORGANIZE TEAMS OR ATHLETES
• SPONSOR TEAMS OR ATHLETES
• ENTER TEAMS OR ATHLETES INTO EVENTS
• SELECT COACHES, ADMINISTRATORS, OR DIRECTORS FOR ATHLETES, TEAMS, CLUBS, OR ORGANIZATION
• Participating in this program does not guarantee placement on a team, school, club, dojo, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: No information will be disclosed including an athlete's name, address or phone number in this program. Parents may remove their child from the “My Child Wants to Play AAU Sports!” program at any time by Emailing unsubscribe@aausports.org. The AAU does not endorse nor recommend any specific club(s), coach(es), nor group(s) of athletes. Enrolling in this program does not guarantee placement on a team, school, club, dojo, etc. AAU Membership fees are not refundable.

It is your responsibility as the parent to make whatever inquiry(ies) that you feel would be necessary for the safety and protection of your child(ren) including but not limited to background checks, etc in regards to any coaches, clubs, dojos, schools, etc that you may select. This program is intended solely to provide a potential opportunity for your child(ren) to participate in amateur sports.
